Alexandra Lenz
CLASS OF 2029

Hello and welcome to my softball page!
My name is Alexandra Lenz, and I’ve been playing softball since I was six years old. The number 6 has always been special to me- it’s the number I’ve worn on my jersey throughout my softball journey.
When I’m not on the field, I enjoy expressing my creative side. Some of my paintings and sculptures have been selected by my church and school as standout pieces, and I also love writing poetry.
I take pride in balancing both sides of who I am—an athlete and an artist—and I bring that same creativity, dedication, and passion into everything I do.
My family is a huge source of inspiration for me. My brother first introduced me to hitting and catching, my mom is always my biggest supporter and cheerleader, and my dad encourages me to have fun, work hard, and always do my best. He’s also the one I spend countless hours practicing and training with.

A POEM I WROTE...

Where I’m From
By: Alexandra Lenz
I am from lost hair ties,
from dirty busted up softballs and bats.
I am from the bright blue water
patiently sitting in the pool
(shining and refreshing,
like an ice cold lemonade and bright red strawberries.)
I’m from the homemade meals and the laughter that’s brought.
from the bright future
to the unknown
I’m from the sports channel on tv
filled with videos of things that make up my life.
I’m from the storage bin sitting on a shelf,
such a small blue box as small as an elf.
Yet it holds everything I’ve ever known.
From the warm blankets resting on the soft couch that is carefully sewn.
The very couch where sadness and happiness rest on.
I’m from the twinkling stars in the bright blue sky at dusk.
The roasting, crackling fire that brings warmth.
I’m from the giggles and good memories
that are never brought by a dull moment
not even one.
I’m from the softball field.
From the rocky dusty pieces of dirt
and the lines of chalk that lie amongst the field.
From all of the blood sweat and tears that have been left behind.
