Game Recap – Strong Start Against Gill St. Bernard’s

We picked up a big win for Ridge High School, based in Central NJ, against Gill St. Bernard’s, finishing 8–4. It felt great to come out strong as a team, and the energy from start to finish was exactly what we’ve been working toward.

At the plate, I went 3-for-4 with two singles and a double. I felt locked in and focused on staying consistent each at-bat, just trying to put the ball in play and help move runners. It was one of those games where things clicked, and I’m really proud of how I approached each opportunity.

Behind the plate, I caught the entire game and was especially happy with how we controlled the running game—there were no stolen base attempts against us. That’s something I take a lot of pride in, and it was a great team effort between me and our pitchers to keep everything in check.

Playing for head coach Brian McCarthy has also been a great experience so far. He’s created a competitive, supportive environment, and it’s been exciting to be part of that as a freshman.

Overall, it was a solid win for Ridge High School and a great step forward for us early in the season. Looking forward to keeping the momentum going.
